The initiative of the employees of faculty of engineering of the donation of one-day pay from their salaries to support the economy of Egypt

 Professor Doctor Nabil Nour eldeen, vice president of the university for student and education affairs and acting the head of the university, declared that in the frame of the economic circumstances which face the country, faculty of engineering initiates for supporting the economy of the country through the donation of the employees and the staff members with one-day pay from their salaries.

In the frame of completing the laboratories of the faculty, Professor Doctor Yahia Abd el-Azeem, the dean of faculty of engineering, said that machinery for the electric laboratories and the civil engineering are bought.

Training courses in the (structural analysis SAP) at faculty of engineering

Professor Doctor Yahia Abd el-Azeem, the dean of faculty of engineering, approved on the program of the second and the third training courses which are represented in (structural analysis SAP).

The number of the students in the course range from 15 to 20 students and the student gets the certificate after finishing the course.

The second course started last Sunday dated 28/1/2012 and its end in 29/2/2012.

Also the third course started last Monday dated 5/2/2012 and its end on next Thursday.

Notice for the staff members at faculty of engineering

 To the participants of the syndicate committee at the university and the university hospital, according to the edition of the regulations and the items of the exchange from the syndicate committee fund and the approval of the general assembly in 31/12/2012 on increasing the financial merits which are exchanged as follows:

1-In the marriage case, 80 pounds are exchanged instead of 40 pounds.

2-In the pathological cases, from 40 pounds to 120 are exchanged instead of 20 pounds to 60 pounds.

3- In the death case, 400 pounds are exchanged.

4- In the case of the death of father or mother, 80 pounds are exchanged.

5-In the case of the death of the husband or the wife, 100 pounds are exchanged.

6-In the case of pension superannuation, 400pounds are exchanged.

This will be from 1/7/2012.

A workshop at faculty of engineering under the title the comprehensive quality principles

The center of approval and quality assurance at faculty of engineering held a workshop, which lasted for two days,

 under the title the comprehensive quality principles.

Professor Doctor Ahmed Mohamed Sleeman, the manger of the center of approval and quality assurance at the university gave the lecture.

The workshop included the definitions and the concepts of the quality.

On the other hand the criteria of the quality, the classification of the programs and the curricula and the referential range have been identified.

The staff members and administrators attended the workshop at the premise of faculty of engineering.

 The first Cultural Forum for the Faculty of Engineering.

Faculty of Engineering, University of Sohag, organized the first Cultural Forum which was included in the ceremony of finishing student's activities at the college in May. This was declared by Dr. Yehia Abdel Azim, Dean of the College.
Dr. Abdel Azim  added also that the forum includes a presentation of the most important sports and social activities organized by the college, such as competitions in volleyball , memorizing  the Koran, organizing students' union elections and celebration of the orphan's day. The Forum also will include presenting some poems of El Halamantishy poetry by Dr. Salah Abdallah and the poet Ehab Albeshbaishe.
